Straight Up (Manhattan style)

It is said that James Bond drinks only Martinis. For savoir-faire he might try this instead. The Wild Geese Straight Up is a sophisticated gentleman’s drink … with a nod to a classic “Manhattan” recipe.

  • Ingredients
  • 2 parts of The WIld Geese Golden Rum
  • 1 part of sweet vermouth cocchi
  • Dash of Mandarin bitter
  • 5 drops of Irish stout aroma

 

Garnish
Potato peel
Perfume it with lemon zest

Method
Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice, shake well than pour into a cocktail glass and perfume with a citrus zest.

Rum Mule

Gingery and peppery. Refreshingly crispy to quench your thirst… every time. Easy to make and what’s more it kicks like a mule!

  • Ingredients:
  • 2 parts of The WIld Geese Golden Rum
  • 2 parts of apple juice
  • Half part of lemon juice
  • Half part of vanilla syrup
  • 3 dashes of Angostura
  • Ginger beer

 

Garnish
Shiso leaf

Method
Pour all the ingredients, apart from the ginger beer, into a shaker.
Add ice and shake well… then pour over ice in a tall glass and top up with the ginger beer… garnish with shiso leaf.

Rum Alexander

An end of dinner digestif. This elegant cocktail, so creamy and rich, goes well with any dessert.
Ingredients

  • 2 parts of The WIld Geese Golden Rum
  • 1 part of Tia Maria
  • 1 part of cream
Cocoa powder
Gold leaf
Method
Shake all ingredients with plenty of ice, until the cream gets frothy, then pour into a champagne glass and garnish with cocoa powder and gold leaves.
